Former NATCM head Yu Yanhong turns herself in under CCDI/NSC probe; second consecutive director felled. | China Day chinaday.news
The CCDI/NSC website about 10:01 said Yu Yanhong—former NHC Party leadership member and former Party secretary and head of the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine—is suspected of serious violations of Party discipline and law, has voluntarily turned herself in, and is under CCDI/NSC disciplinary review and supervisory investigation. Xinhua carried the notice; China Daily English (about 11:30) said she turned herself in and sketched her Hunan origin, Southern Medical University presidency, 2018 Guangdong vice-governorship and later NATCM posts, including director from July 2023 to February this year. Lianhe Zaobao (about 10:51) noted her CPPCC membership had just been revoked on 4 November and that when she briefly served as Guangdong vice-governor the governor was former Politburo member Ma Xingrui, already fallen; predecessor Yu Wenming was also sentenced for bribery, so two consecutive NATCM directors have been taken down. CCTV.com and NAMPA among others carried the notice. The node landed about 10:01; the 10:00 stamp (~09:49) missed it and the 12:00 patrol did not log it, so the 14:00 slot catches it up.
